Coaching:LicensedCoach

Jennifer Winkler is an FEI competitive dressage rider who coaches adult amateurs in the art of classical German dressage. Her students have ranged from dressage aficionados at the beginning of their journey in the sport to advanced FEI competitors. She is an accomplished rider, and Equine Canada licensed coach, who possesses a down-to-earth and practical approach to horses and riding.

An active participant in the show ring with many championships in her name,  Jennifer has competed at the Prix St. Georges, Intermediare, and Grand Prix levels inside Germany’s world-famous riding halls. She brings to her practice skills acquired from extensive and rigorous formal dressage training, delivered by Germany’s finest dressage trainers, including Herbert Rehbein, regarded as one of the world’s best riders.

Horse Training:

Located in the Calgary (Priddis) area, Jennifer readies horses for competition, trains horses that are for sale, those who are young and inexperienced, and those with gaps in their training who need remedial support.  Her method of training is compassionate and respectful, while at the same time firm, with clear expectations.  She focuses on a small number of horses to ensure each one is given the time and support they need to progress. The end result is equestrian athletes who are confident, well-rounded, and eager to begin work with their owner.

Clinics:

A popular clinician, Jennifer is available for one, two and three-day clinics.  If you are interested in hosting a Jennifer Winkler Dressage Clinic, please contact her for rates and availability.

Dressage is not a race against your peers. It’s a score measured by a test where your toughest competitor is yourself.”

“Dressage is the basis for solid training. Regardless of which discipline riders pursue, dressage provides the attention to detail and precise movements that markedly improve outcomes for both horse and rider.”
