2009 SEASON

As the 2009 show season comes to a close, we at JW Sporthorses celebrate a terrific 2009 and look forward to what 2010 might bring. Contester II's stud fee has been drastically
reduced due to the economy: $1,000 booking fee of $300 included.
We want to congratulate Chelsey Sibley and
Contester II for their success at the USDF/CDS Championships. Contester II was the Horse of the Year Champion at 4th level for
both the USDF region 7 and the CDS. We are very proud of them both and they couldn't have done a
better job.
Contester II was also awarded the Tambu trophy for the highest scoring stallion at the show,
as well as the highest scoring open 4th level horse at the championships. Wow!
Contester II has been awarded 3 lifetime breeding licenses based on his performance
and radiographs. He is now lifetime licensed with the BWP, Oldenburg NA/ISR, and the RPSI.
KWPN will register foals out of a KWPN mare register A. Please contact the KWPN/NA in regard
to registration possibilities.
JW Sporthoses was blessed with two beautiful foals but unfortunately
lost one. The newest members are "Paloma" a gorgeous bay filly by the Grand Prix jumping stallion
Torino (Heartbreaker x Cassini) out of our Prinz Gaylord mare, Pagoda. This filly is bred to jump
the moon and we expect great things from her. Look for Paloma on our sales page.
We also welcomed into the world a colt by Contester II out of Maloja Pass xx. This
spunky colt is eye candy: born dark bay and turning grey. Both foals were born in Lexington, KY,
and are headed to California in December. Contester II's newest colt is also for sale. Prices
have been reduced to reflect the current economy.
Chelsey Sibley and Conteseter II swept the fourth level test 3 classes at the
Golden State Dressage Warm-Up show with scores as high as 73.9%. An article was published
in the Chronicle of the Horse magazine about Contester and Chelsey. Way to go, guys!
Our two yearling fillies, Cabria and Democracy, made their debuts at the Breeders Classic
in Lexington, KY. Both fillies wowed us with their been-there-done-that attitude. Cabria
(Cabalitio x Prinz Gaylord) scored an impresive 83% in her first USDF breed show. Democracy
(EM Devon Heir x EM Dumont) did a great job as well, scoring a 77% and winning the USDF
American Hanoverian Society breed show class. Both fillies are now in California and for sale to new homes.
Our newest mare, Wopolita, a 2003 imported Dutch mare, is confirmed in foal to Contester II. We are very excited to see what this cross brings. "Willow" is by Obeklisk and out of a Havidoff dam.
We would like to congradulate Matt and Deb Hiron on a successful USDF Breed show year with Contact, a 2008 Contester II colt.
We look forward to the 2010 show season. Contester II will make his FEI debut with Chelsey and we hope to see the pair doing the USEF developing horse in the spring.
